Short-tem learning mobility of VET learners in "Fields of Knowledge in Practise: Agriculture and Economics in Leaps and Bounds" (10-days structured course in Ljubljana. The course date was March 2025).
General work experience:
This course was aimed at students who would like to gain practical work skills within their chosen field, in a foreign country. This programme is suited to business, administration, hospitality, technical, engineering or retail fields and other speciality high schools or training schools. The placements per student last 10 days.
The 10-day Ljubljana programme:

| Day 1 | AM: Cultural Day – Sight-seeing in Ljubljana. | |
| PM: Goal-setting with accompanying teachers: outlining objectives for internship/job shadowing/training experience. | ||
| Day 2 | AM: Orientation – meeting staff at workplace, seeing different departments. Meeting Mentor – mentors at each workplace will give overview of company and outline the week’s activities. | |
| PM: Free time and gathering with classmates and teachers. | ||
| Day 3 | AM: Internship / job shadowing / training activities. | |
| PM: Students to record observations of day and 1 skill / lesson / quality they learned today. Evening visit to flamenco show. | ||
| Day 4 | AM: Internship / job shadowing / training activities – students record experiences so far e.g. listing three innovative methods used at the workplace and three examples of good management they observed today. | |
| PM: Reporting to teacher in charge on day’s research. | ||
| Day 5 | AM: Internship / job shadowing / training activities – identifying three main challenges faced at the workplace and finding out how they overcome them. | |
| PM: Beginning their presentations to show mentor and teacher. | ||
| Day 6 | Cultural visit to Cordoba. | |
| Day 7 | AM: Internship / job shadowing / training activities – observing how teams at the workplace collaborate together – is someone directing the activity at the workplace? Is there good communication? Students take note of workplace environment. | |
| PM: Continuing with their presentations to show mentor and teacher. | ||
| Day 8 | AM: Internship / job shadowing / training activities – studying the carbon footprint and how sustainable the company is. | |
| PM: Finalising their presentations to show mentor and teacher. Evening tour of Ljubljana. | ||
| Day 9 | AM: Final meeting at workplace – presenting to the mentor what they discovered about the company during the week and what the student also learned about themselves over the course of the experience. | |
| PM: Presenting to teachers and possibly students their experiences over the course of the week. | ||
| Day 10 | AM: Visiting sights of Ljubljana and students have free time to carry out self-evaluation using matrix / forms and setting goals for their return to school. | |
